    Bike hitch

For 2 bikes it’s ok. You do have to buy a separate 2” hitch for this bike rack and hope it can install on your bumper. Which is unlikely on a car. I used it on a trailer hitch. It works well and I travelled 1000 miles or more already.

Not sized for a regular hitch. No way to make it work.

    Very shaky

The device is very heavy, it takes a while to unscrew the whole cap to place the bikes and once done you can see, hear and feel the bikes moving a lot... You will also have to buy extra parts to fit in the hatch, the right ones not sold in CTire.. a lot of trouble to save a few bucks

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Can it use on mini Van? SportRack 3-bike Rack with Hitch $139.99 Product #40-1009-0 My first time buying bike rack and I don't know how they work.

    • A: This attaches to a trailer hitch. If your van has a trailer hitch installed, then it will work (yet it may block the rear hatch from opening very far). There are (much more expensive) carriers available that can swing clear of the hatch door). To make it easier to pull a trailer without the bike rack attached, purchase a second draw-bar and ball for your specific trailer hitch and vehicle. I also suggest getting the highest class of trailer hitch available for your vehicle (class 3 if available, otherwise, class 2).

Q: can it be mounted at rear of camper trailer

    1 Answer
    • A: This ball-mount configuration bike rack requires a hitch receiver and ball/ball mount components for installation. If your camper trailer is equipped with a rear hitch receiver and you have a ball/ball mount available, it can be mounted to your camper trailer. However, using a bike carrier on a towed vehicle will void the warranty provided by SportRack. This bike carrier is designed to be mounted between a tow vehicle and towed trailer as it provides the user with a tow ball and the ability to tow a trailer from their vehicle, not consuming the hitch receiver for the bike rack. That being said, we would recommend placing the rack behind your tow vehicle, not the trailer as you have described, provided your trailer is within the 2,000-lb GTW capacity of the bike rack. If you insist on using the bike carrier on your trailer despite warranty concerns, you may want to consider purchasing a hitch-mount bike carrier instead of a ball-mount bike carrier as this feature is relatively redundant – it wouldn’t be recommended to tow a trailer from your trailer.

Q: I drive a 2009 vibe. Which bike hitch and carrier can I use? I would like to carry three hybred bikes Drive a 2009 Vibe, which 3 bike hitch and carrier can I use

    • A: Any hitch carrier will fit as long as you have enough clearance from the hitch receiver to the bumper to insert the bike carrier.

Q: is there a minimum "class rating" on this? and does it 'incline"? The Sportrack website has "hitch 'n' drive" models listed as Standard Series - A30603 & A30503T The model #A30503 is a class 2 hitch, and also inclines. My car has a class 1 hitch on it, I would like to know if the advertised one is ok for my use.

    1 Answer
    • A: The A30603 does tilt down and will accommodate bikes that are up to 45 lbs each. This gives a total weight on the hitch receiver above 200 lbs therefore a class 2 hitch is needed. Class 1 hitches only allow up to 200lbs of vertical weight. The A30503T does not tilt down as it has to attach to a flat hand on the receiver. I'd recommend the use of a 2 bike carrier for a class 1 hitch (Lower weight).
