12 years agoA: No, this basket net is not intended to be used as a standalone automotive carrier. The net is designed to be used with the SportRack roof basket to secure cargo within the basket. The carrier is available as Product #40-1146 from your local Canadian Tire. This roof basket is suitable for carrying luggage on long-term car travels, but it is open-air and susceptible to weather. Alternatively, you may want to consider an enclosed roof box cargo carrier. Please note, that all rooftop carriers from Canadian Tire require a complete roof rack system that includes cross bars.

Q: why doesn't Canadian Tire sell the extension kit There is an optional extension kit to enlarge the roof basket, as noted on the packaging. Why doesn't Canadian Tire sell this? Does anyone know where I can purchase the extension kit in BC?
