It's been 3 years and the item runs fine The music quality is okay for the unit. Don't use it much in the winter but it comes in handy in the summer at the pool, but the unit is not waterproof so keep it away from the water but it's loud enough to set back on the deck or in the nearby window aiming at the pool.
The radio feature to use the memory is a little difficult to understand so I don't use it most of it is streaming to the unit
Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: If I use these with a bluetooth car stereo will the sounds come out of my vehicle's speakers as well or is it one or the other?

A: If hard wired into your car it will play along with car speakers. If not hard wired your Bluetooth can only connect to one link at a time therefore both will not play at the same time.
