Forget airtight, it's not even watertight

I bought this to replace an older container (same model) whose lid failed after 4 years (a crack developed in one of the latches). This new container looks identical to the old container, but is made with thinner material. Maybe this is why the new lid doesn't lock down as tightly as the old lid. The result is a leaky lid. My container began leaking water after just a few minutes during an inversion test.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Good, light weight storage unit. I like it for dog treats, out of reach of the dog. Sturdy, can fall on the floor without damage, and helps keep the contents fresh.
