nice combo

The pen it's really nice and sturdy. And it's a plus that it's easy to find the replacement once the ink it's gone. The knife it's cool. Too bad it's not really sharp out of the box, but once you sharp the knife it's awesome.

good value combo when on sale

The knife was a bit of a disappointment: a bit sloppy in the assembly & very thin stock used on the blade. The thumb stud is right-hand only; the bolster guard, which sticks out the back when closed, is too small to use as a "flipper" given the pivot friction (even though the bolt is loose enough that there's play when locked open.) It does come sharp & the neoprene-like handle over-mould is relatively grippy with its texturing. The pen is great: solid but light. It takes a Fisher Space Pen refill (but doesn't come with one) & the stylus tip is replaceable. Overall, this kit is a good value when on sale, if you think of it as a bonus "backup" knife & reusable tin for the regular price of the pen.
