Might not last

I bought this machine just 2 years ago, only weeks out of the 2 year warranty, it stopped running smoothly, a repair technician advised me that they can't fix it and to buy a new one... I have emailed Singer on their customer service page a week ago with no response at all. As a weekend sewist I expected my light amount of work would keep my machine running for longer. While it was running I really lived it hence 2 stars instead of only one

tension knob broken

I bought this machine several years ago and have loved it until the tension knob just spins after I adjusted the tension. I heard something pop... now no tension on the orange thread. I'm hoping someone can tell me how to fix this as repair shops are not very close to home.

Beautiful machine

This serger is amazing. I’m seriously in love with it. It comes prethreaded but the thread is cheap, full of lumps & breaks easily but it’s a great to help you figure out your machine and actually see the stitches. Threading it is a bit of a learning curve but once you get it it’s so easy. Troubleshooting it is easy too. It’s truly a beautiful machine, such a game changer for any sewing enthusiast.
Yes, I recommend this product.

NOT Happy

I bought this machine several months back. Just took it out of the box today. Thought this should be pretty easy since it was all ready threaded for me. After my friend and I worked 40 minutes, we gave up. We never got the tension right on the machine. There was always one or two threads that were way too loose. I’ve always had a singer machine and have always been happy with them. I took the machine back to the place I purchased it and one of the very sweet ladies attempted to re-thread and two adjust the tension. She too wad unsuccessful. This purchase was a total waste of money.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Can it stich Jeans pants? just need to shorten pants. last time i bought it was not powerful enough to stitch Jeans.

A: The Singer ProFinish model 14CG754 Serger is capable of sewing with denim. The Singer ProFinish model 14CG754 Serger is not designed for sewing multiple layers of thick or heavy weight fabrics. We do not recommend a serger if you plan to sew with multiple layers of jean weight denim on a regular basis. You will probably need a more heavy duty sewing machine.
