Bought this and the simoniz 50 foot hose because the small hose that comes with it isn’t long enough for anything. IT DIDNT FIT! I can’t understand how the hose that came with this and the same brand name pressure washer hose has a slightly smaller nipple in the fitting so it leaks like a basket when you use it. Unreal. Garbage.

bought this and it lasted less than 15min before shutting down. it would not turn back on. at canadian tire they told me"its normal its not made for more than 15min at a time". would give 0 stars if i could. that my first and last simoniz product. absolute waste of money. the cheapest of the cheapest pressure washer lasted me
6years with uses that span up to 3-4 hours at a time. they replaced it but i will sell it and buy something else.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Is this TRUE?? You cannot use a standing power washer hose? I read something about the dia. of the male end of the hose to wand is a NONSTANDARD size (Being 15MM instead of the standard 15mm).. I just ordered an expensive hose.

A: You need a M22 15 mm to M22 14 mm adapter available at most brick and mortar stores or online. Teflon tape the male ends to ensure a 100% leak-free connection.

Q: Has anyone ever used this from a non-pressurized water source. I want to use water from a large rain barrel but there is no pressure pump. Thanks.

A: u can use an aquarium pump (cheap under $30) or a utility pump to supply water from a rain barrel. I have a 200gallon rain barrel system and use it to wash the cars with this pressure washer. works well with either. I have a 5ft head on the rainbarrel system when full, but run it through a 50ft garden hose out to the pressure washer. too much restriction with that amount of hose. It could run fine if u had a short hose (under 5') and enough head

Q: How well would you compare the overall pressure/reliability of this compact 1800 model to the Simoniz Platinum 2100 full size model? Compact is good, but quality/pressure/noise is more important.

A: I would purchase the bigger model. This one is good for smaller jobs. I still use my gas PW for my deck as this one doesn't get the dirt off near as good.

A: The hose fittings from the unit to the gun are both m22-15mm. The fitting from the gun tip to the metal wand, however, is M22-14mm. This is actually a good thing as you can attach a high-pressure hose to that end for pressure cleaning plugged up drains while controlling the flow!
