While Shimano makes some great products, this is definitely not one of them. Took it home and spooled up some 8lb line only to find that the drag on the reel was non-existent. Broken from the factory. Save your money and by a Sahara series reel.

Great rod. Using 20lb braid with it and it works like a charm. Very pleased with rate of retrieve and durability. Landed 50+fish with it so far.
