The Shepherd Hardware 4 in. Gate Caster with Adjustable Spring Bracket is designed to allow gates to open and close freely. It features a 125 lb. load rating and a spring-loaded clamp that acts as a shock absorber when the caster is rolling over rough or uneven surfaces. It also features a universal mount for wood or metal gates.

Poorly designed

This is poorly designed. When flush mounted, the wheel spins ( as it should) but the it jams into the gate. We had to add filler washers so it wasn’t mounted directly on the gate so it would work properly.
