Q: Does Rotella T5 10w30 carry the JASO MA rating for wet clutch applications, like its T and T6 cousins?

A: No, but it is rated MB which is also ok for wet clutches. http://www.oilspecifications.org/articles/JASO_MA_JASO_MB.php

Q: I use 15w40 in my antique car. I'd like to switch to synthetic. Can I use this oil in a "non" diesel engine?
6 years agoA: Customers with older classic vehicles from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s, we suggest using our Shell Rotella T4 15W-40 or T410W-30. These vehicles have engines with flat tappet lifters requiring a higher zinc protection. Our Rotella Motor Oil has 1200 ppm of zinc which is ideal for these engines and this will be the best option.

Q: Is this Rotella T5 10W30 Synthetic Oil CJ-4 compliant? I'm interested in using a synthetic oil for my 2009 Bobcat S205 Skid Steer and was told to make sure that it is CJ-4 compliant. I found this about CJ-4: http://www.apicj-4.org/faqs.html

A: Rotella T5 10W-30 is now API CK-4 compliant. This new specification came into effect Dec. 1, 2016, and replaces the older API CJ-4 specification. API CK-4 is backwards compatible with API CJ-4. You can find out more on www.whatispc-11.com.
