I like this vacuum because it is lightweight. It’s hard to get it to stand in a corner if you need to break away from vacumming for a minute. It goes under furniture and in tight spaces.

It’s worth spending the money on the name brand. It’s a waste buying cheap, it doesn’t last.

It’s strong and works great. I bought a cheap knock off before and it’s not working. If I bought this one the first time around I wouldn’t be purchasing again. Just get the known working vacuum because you get what you pay for.

Q: How well does the Shark Rocket Deluxe Pro Upright Vacuum work on carpeted stairs? I have 3 cats and 2 long haired dogs and I have never had any luck with vacuums working well on carpeted stairs. The little hand held attachments that come with vacuums last a very short time. Looking for a vacuum to use on stairs.

A: We have a dog which seems to produce her own weight in hair every three months. The Powered brush head works very well on stairs. The available Motorized Pet Tool (We got it with our smaller Rocket) is also great for (hairy) carpeted stairs. It's light and small and easy to handle.

Q: Can you use the power/motor head on hard floor surfaces? I had model HV300 and you did not have to change the head to move from carpet to hard floors.
