For this seed mix, which contains Bluegrass, Fescues and Perennial Ryegrass, soil temperatures must be at least 12.7°C (55°F) for the grass seed to germinate. Daytime temperatures need to consistently between 18.3°C (65+°F) or higher. This seed will germinate best when temperatures are consistently in the 15.6 to 26.6°C range (60-80°F). Cool night time temperatures and fluctuating temperatures will slow germination. Cold weather will delay germination but will not hurt the seed.
We want you to feel good about using our products. That's why we offer a product guarantee. A: Hello Lisa. For best results, Turf Builder Quick + Thick Grass Seed Sun & Shade apply in mid to late spring or late summer/early fall when air temperatures are consistently 15.6-29.4°C (60-85°F) with soil temperatures 12.8-15.6°C (55-60°F).
