Schwinn folding bike comments

This is my third Schwinn folding bike. I have a summer home with lots of visiting guests, and they are always the first choice of visitors. They make exceptional cottage lane commuters and generally work very well. The only shortcoming in my opinion is that the 7th gear should allow a greater range for speed...... meaning that you cannot achieve as high a travel speed as I personally would like. This may be seen as a design safety item so as not to over speed the relatively small frame and wheels. Summary.... work well, very comfortable and the only negative from visitors would be that the seat is firm and could use a little more padding. They represent very good value for the money.

Just got this bike and I absolutely love it!!! It’s a cute bike looks petit but great frame and super sturdy. I couldn’t wait to take it for a cruise.
I love that it folds to store away for traveling. Can’t wait to take it everywhere with me!

It’s exactly what I expected of a basic folding bike. Very nice design and fun to ride. I take it with me to conservation areas and provincial parks to take slow rides, enjoy scenery and take pictures. Meets my needs 100%

Only wish it was lighter, carrying it inside upstairs with a recovered broken shoulder.
not safe to leave outside as previous bike was stolen!

A: no it is not suitable for adults. the front chain ring is too small. even in the highest gear you will have to peddle like mad to keep moving at a reasonable speed. the Schwinn company states they meant this bike for children. too bad. they are missing a large market. . the seat post is not very long either. if you would like a folder bike get one with a 52 tooth front chain ring, and make sure the seat post extends a comfortable height , with lots extra. real adult sized six speed folders are adaptable for all ages...

Q: How big is it once it folds up? Could you, say, fold it up and put it into a milk crate? I'm trying to get a sense of how small is small (or how big is big) when it's compacted.

A: It won't fit in a milk crate. You can fold it up and take it inside a store that has shopping carts and fit it within the bin of even a small shopping cart

Q: When should I expect this to go on sale? I saw this bike on here two days ago and intended to buy it but couldn't find the time to make it to the store. Now that I do have time, it's $20 more expensive. I can't buy it now without feeling a little ripped-off.

A: they are on sale now at $20. off. Do not expect a big sale price on folding bikes because they are a breed apart from other bikes.

A: Bonjour, Je suis une femme de 1M 50CM. La hauteur du vélo me convient très bien cependant, étant une personne avec un poids un peu plus élevé, mon corps se retrouve dans le guidon lorsque je descends du vélo, ce qui le fait basculer à tout coup. Il semble que la distance entre le siège et le guidon est réduite par rapport aux vélos réguliers donc, j'ai remisé mon vélo après quelques tentatives et je m'en suis procurée un autre.

Q: Where else is this bike available in Ontario? I was wondering where else is this bike available. I'm in Toronto area and they are sold out apparently here and Scarborough. Ottawa is also sold out. I get an error every time I try to check other cities online for availability. THanks in advance.
