Solid, simple, effective stand—but do NOT overfill

I purchased this on sale to replace a fiddly, mostly plastic stand that finally broke. I don't see any really why this one won't last for many, many Christmases. The design is very simple and all of the major stress points are made from heavy-gauge steel.
I was able to set up my tree, solo, in minutes—even though this was my first try. Screw the centring plate onto the base of the trunk, drop the tree gently into the stand, and gradually tighten the four stabilizing bolts (switching often among them to keep everything even).
Even though the job was easy, I already have a couple of key tips.
First, don't fully tighten the screw holding the centring plate onto your trunk. Leave just a tiny bit of play. This will allow you to get your tree to stand upright even if your trunk isn't sawn off perfectly straight (saw it off as straight as you can manage). To straighten your tree, simply tighten/loosen opposing bolts as needed.
Second, and this is a big one, do NOT overfill the reservoir. As you can see in the product photo, the plastic reservoir liner has cut-outs along the rim for the four stabilizing bolts. If your water level rises above those cut-outs, the overflow will seep out and leave a puddle on your floor. Therefore, never fill the reservoir higher than a couple of inches from the top (there's still room for nearly three litres of water).
I learned this lesson the hard way. Fortunately, I always place my tree stand on a large plastic tray, so the pooling was contained and my floor was spared.
Honestly, I believe most (if not all) of the one-star reviews are from people who made this simple mistake. I thought my stand was leaking too, but it was actually just overflowing. If I leave a little room at the top of the reservoir, my floor remains dry as a bone.
The stand apparently comes with a lifetime warranty, but I honestly don't think I'll need it. I believe this stand will last longer than I will.
