Q: Will this the Salton Harley Pasternak blender crush ice easily? What is the container made of? can it take the stress of crushing the ice?
11 years agoA: Yes! It crushes everything. You may need to use the tamper that comes in the box if your container is full of ice though. Container is 2L made of BPA free Triton. I just got mine so it is still in good condition, but since it's not glass, i'd say that it may scratch inside in the long run (the owner's manual says so about crushing dry ingredients, but not specifically about ice).

Q: Can you use this blender for hot items like coffee? Is it dishwasher safe?
6 years agoA: Hi, Thank you for your question. Here is what the instruction booklet says for hot liquids and also cleaning of the unit: "10. Use caution when blending hot ingredients as spray or escaping steam may cause scalding and burns. DO NOT fill the Jar to the maximum capacity. Always begin processing on the lowest speed setting. Keep hands and other exposed skin away from the Lid. Extreme caution must be used when moving a Jar containing hot liquids. Always allow the Blender and Jar to cool before taking off parts and before cleaning" "BLENDING HOT LIQUIDS • Always review all the General Use instructions above. • WARNING: When filling the Jar with hot liquids take care to prevent splashing that could cause injury. • Allow hot liquids to stand for a few moments to permit steam to escape before processing." Care And Cleaning: "NOTE: The Jar is dishwasher safe on the top rack ONLY. However, to prolong the life of the Blender parts we recommend you hand wash the Jar, Lid, Cap and Tamper by hand as described above" Hope this helps answer your inquiry. Q: Première utilisation Bonjour, Est-ce normal qu'à la première utilisation, le moteur sente le brûlé? Il était très peu chargé, genre 1 tasse lait, un peu de yogourt et quelques fruits congelés ? Merci !
