This cooker is great. You need to clean and season the cast iron before use. And care for it like any cast iron. I’ve used this on a campfire and on my bbq as pictured. Works great. Get it really hot before you put in the sandwich. The handles are not too short. You are meant to put down, this isn’t marshmallows folks. P.S. Please dump Caddle CT; longtime Testers aren’t happy.

Good cooker but handles are way too short

I bought this a few weeks ago and tried it on my last camping trip. It seems well made, heavy and solid and easy to clean. However the handles are WAY too short to use in most fire pits. It was impossible for me to get the press into the embers for proper heating without burning my hands. I would love it if the handles were about twice as long.
