worth a try

purchased as my vehicle was do for an inspection and check engine light had just come on for a code p0420. directions were easy to do. unfortunately it did not make my car pass it did however bring the readings closer to what is needed. will have try diagnosing the code. so this product does work but not enough for my issue

Used One Time - Did Not Clear P0430

I've typically used CataClean to clean things up enough to clear my always-on P0430 code on my 2010 Honda Odyssey van. This is the engine that Honda designed with flimsy piston rings in order to achieve better economy and efficiency. This issue -- coupled with the stupid "Eco" mode -- wreaks all kinds of oil bypass havoc in the exhaust system. Thought I would try this Rislone Cat Complete product this year, but after running through the steps in the instructions and through the whole tank of gas, the CEL has remained on. I typically run a bottle of regular fuel system cleaner with every oil change or before longer road trips, and then run a product like this before the emission checking time of year. But either the issue is getting worse, or this product didn't perform as well as Cata Clean has in the past. Not saying this is a bad product, but it didn't work for me when Cata Clean HAS worked for me in the past. Again, lots of reasons and variables with this, but I'll be trying a bottle of Cata Clean to see if that resolves the issue before digging in further.

Risolone Cat Complete SAVED my son's car.

His car failed State mandated emissions testing and was not eligible for registration renewal. We were told that the ECU was probably no good and the catalytic converter was bad. These items being replaced at our neighborhood garage were going to cost as much as the car was probably worth! After using one bottle of Cat Complete, the car PASSED emissions testing! AWESOME product; my son had no faith in what he thought was snake oil; now he's thrilled with the product and telling all his friends.

Q: Do I have to drive the 30-50 km the same day I use the product or can I drive it the next day?

A: I would say you need to drive it 50km on the same drive. Just the nature of it requires a chemical reaction that would need to take place in your catalytic converter for a period of time.

A: Hello. Yes, we recommend using this product to clean your systems even if there is no engine light on as part of regular preventative maintenance. Ensure to use per the instructions. Regular use every 8,000 kilometers tunes-up the fuel, emissions and exhaust systems keeping them clean and actually preventing the engine light to come on. Thank you.

Q: Can I use this product even if I've already put some fuel injection cleaner in the tank?

A: No, we do not recommend adding the Rislone Cat Complete if the customer has Injector Cleaner in his fuel now. He should first run that tank of fuel out, fill his tank and run that tank down to a 1/4 tank, then follow the instruction on the bottle of Cat Complete. https://rislone.com/international/canada/#product-34720 INSTRUCTIONS: Add entire bottle of Fuel, Exhaust & Emissions Systems Cleaner into approximately 1/2 full tank car (1/4 full tank truck) of gasoline. Drive vehicle 30 to 50 km (ideally half of these kilometers at highway speeds), and then fill up tank. Continue to drive vehicle normally until below 1/4 tank before refueling. Take emissions test at this time (if needed) and CEL light should be off. Depending on the severity and length of time light has been on, it may take an extra 400 km with multiple cycles of the vehicle being started and turned off for the light to reset. If light is still on mechanical attention is needed.
