Q: is the litium 40 volt yardworks battery available? My battery will not hold a charge. year old

A: Lithium Ion batteries are notorious for holding a memory. If you use the battery for half an hour then recharge the battery that is not a good idea. Short use time and long charge time results in permanent short use time no matter how long you charge it. Run the battery completely out then recharge to full. When the battery is used always for short terms it seems to think that it is out of power when it really isn't. Your battery can be reconditioned if you can find a place that will do it for you. New batteries will cost you over half the price of a new mower.
