Smart?

The tv itself is fine and for the money, pretty good. It is certainly not a high end piece of equipment, its cheap, it feels cheep, but thats ok. The problem i have with this "smart" tv is that one has to be online and with a wifi network just to set it up the first time. There is no way one could just plug in a device to the hdmi (or any other) port and watch without first registering online with roku tv. I find this incredibly frustrating. It cannot just be a tv, it must be "smart"
