Lighter than a steel bike.

So far my 8 year old daughter is enjoying the bike. Seems like it's well built. Much lighter than her previous steel bike. 4 stars due to the price but I'm sure if you are patient it would go on sale at some point.

Nice bike - perfect fit for 50 inch girl

Daughter 50 inches, put seat up a bit. Likely would fit 48 inches to 54 inch height quite well. Fit similar to 18 " SS. Only concern is may outgrow by age 9 if taller girl. This bike better gears, better break distance for little hands but twice cost of similar sized 18" Supercycle. Guess get what you pay for? The other (cheaper) Supercycle brand 20" bikes fit tall - one actually perfect for our 58 inch 9 year old (who normally has 24" bike)

Perfect size for age 7/8

Our just turned 7 year old came with us. At 50 inches, she is slightly tall. Didn't fit the other 20 inch bikes (better prices) at Canadian Tire and the 18 inch bikes all bit cheap, too little kid, or no gears. We do have seat up bit on purchase. Likely good 48 inches to 56 inches height? May last to age 9, but her 58 inch brother (has own 24 inch) would want bigger. Overall, light, nice gears, breaks easy to reach. Good fit for slightly tall 7 year old, though may not last to age 9. Likely would have fit her at age 6 (or tall 6 year olds). Best 20 inch girls bike at CDN Tire, though other two brands fit much bigger and may be better compared to the 24 inch Raleigh. Wish more reviews mentioned kid size!

Have only had the bike for about 3 weeks. It seems to be quite sturdy, gears are easy to change and brakes work well. The 6 year old is very happy!
