A very bad product

I bought this bicycle for my son on the 25th of May, and one week in, the seat was loose, and the suspension and brakes were faulty to the point that he fell off. I took it back to Canadian Tire, Hebron Way, St. John's, NL, and the manager was very apologetic (she was very nice and helpful), but told us that the company policy was that of a "30-Day Repair". That it is when they cannot repair it, that they replace it or whatever. This is on A TWO-WEEK OLD BIKE! I just got a call that the bike is ready for pick up. Needless to say that my son is still bruised and unhappy, and not too keen to get back on it. I hope Candian Tire will do the only right thing here.

I have been trying this bike at Canadian tire store and examining it in great details and comparing with other bikes in the store and also with Decathlon bikes. Certainly, this bike is value for money. I waited for the sale and the moment it was on sale, I grabbed it. Usually, the bikes are very new and in very good shape however, you may need to do minor adjustments and tune-up once you bring it home as inside the store you can't ride much other than just sit on it and get a feel of it. I saw mixed opinions in the reviews however mine have been on the positive side so far. Initially for first one or two kms there was a rubbing sound from the brakes but that went away by itself. I did some minor brake adjustments and that was all needed. I upgraded the rear shock with the pneumatic type and that can be locked in place. Although, the child seat as they say can't be mounted on the dual suspension bike but I was able to do it as my rear shocker is lockable now. Usually, Canadian tire offers free tune ups for 30 days, I cNt blame them as I ordered the bike for pickup and was in a bit of a hurry so did the tune up myself at home.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I have had nothing but issues with this bike, from day 1. It is the worst bike I have ever owned. I wanted to return it, after the first ride of it, because it was such trash... can't return it. So, point. Blank. Period. NEVER BUY A BIKE FROM CANADIAN TIRE. Ever. Their bikes are trash. Their customer service is trash. Their return policy is trash. Its borderline fraud and I think whoever put this together, whoever sold it to me, should be fired. I'm STILL working to try to get it to a working, ride-able state. If this was free, in retrospect, I'd have said no. I hate it. And I hate Canadian Tire for ripping me off. 0 out of 5 if I could give it that!

A: Length 165mm, stroke around one inch. Preload is adjustable. Spring stiffness is high at 1000lb/inch, not recommend to switch to a stiffer coil
