Looks solid but has serious issues

This bike looks sturdy, but it has serious mechanical problems. The disc brakes started making noise right away, and the bottom bracket wasn’t working properly. Pedaling feels unstable. One of the bolts had a stripped head, making adjustments difficult. Several components needed attention from the start, which was disappointing. I expected better quality.

The worst bike I have ever bought.

At first glance, the bike looks solid and well-built — but don’t be fooled. Right after purchase, the disc brakes started making loud rubbing noises, and the bottom bracket was already faulty and needed replacement. When I push the pedals, it feels like my legs are falling through — extremely unstable. The mechanic at Canadian Tire is available only two days a week and for just a few hours. When I brought the bike in specifically to fix the brake noise, he didn’t even replace the bolt with a stripped (cut) head, and he didn’t adjust the brake pads to stop the rubbing. That was the whole reason I brought the bike in — and he did nothing to solve the issue. Now, they’re asking me to pay for new brakes, claiming the noise was caused by “improper storage conditions” — a weak excuse clearly meant to avoid honoring the warranty. For a bike that’s not cheap, I now have to waste my time and potentially spend even more money to fix factory issues. The product is misleading, and the warranty service is absolutely terrible. Avoid buying this bike — or any bike — from Canadian Tire.

No, I do not recommend this product.

  • A: Length 165mm, stroke around one inch. Preload is adjustable. Spring stiffness is high at 1000lb/inch, not recommend to switch to a stiffer coil
