A: I’ve used these successfully for my hops to climb on and worked well. The spaces are larger than a normal piece of lattice but worked well for what I needed.

A: Hello, they do not have a coating on them but when they ship they are fumigated to prevent pests and invasive species from entering the country

A: no. It is closer to 4 feet tall and spreads to 6 feet. but as it spreads the height is affected.

Q: My balcony looks onto a parking lot. It is mentioned here that there are 6 in holes in the fencing, that seems like big gaps to have in a fence. Will this provide blocking the view of parking lot that I need? Thank you!

A: This fencing wouldn’t be adequate for any form of privacy. Unfortunately the holes are big and the parking lot would still be visible.

Q: Could this bamboo fencing be used on balcony railing to keep cats from getting between the rails? If so, could it be securely attached with zip ties? Would appreciate a reply asap as I would like to let my cats out now that the weather is warming up.

A: Hello, While the bamboo fence is a beautiful privacy fence, I would not recommend it for this application. The holes are approximately 6" x 6", thus I worry your cats would easliy fit through. I would however recommend product 59-2028, 2' x 25' Green Home & Garden Fence. This fence is has much smaller holes, is easy to work with and another aesthetically product for your home. For the application you could use zip ties with this product to secure.

A: Hi Janice, The natural bamboo fence is durable fence that can withstand the weather & elements. For applications where there is alot of physical contact, ie. climbing I would not recommend this product. For best installation, I would use natural bamboo stakes with the fence, preferably 5'(Canadian Tire item #59-4779). Insert the bamboo stakes 1' in the ground, then expand the fence and secure each end to the stake with a binding material such as a sisal twine (Canadian Tire item #59-1907). Both the sisal twine and natural stakes will blend into the fence, so visually you are not taking anything away from the product. I hope this helps. Best regards!
