Generic review - no weather emergency therefore product not yet used!

Haven't had the occasion to use them but seem like a decent product. Robust rubber. However I would be cautious in regard to the lifetime of the product - as one knows rubber products age out so if these are stored and not used for some time I would certainly be worried about their longevity. There is no discussion about this in the product or on the company website. As always, 'buyer beware'

Q: Why do you have this set to demand a vehicle model - you obviously have no vehicles listed as compatible, and it is a generic fit.

A: This tensioner is only compatible with certain tire chains which themselves are only compatible with certain vehicles.

Q: does the 030-1229-0 fit tires that are 16 or 17" Would I need the 030-1230-4 model instead? Are both models the same price?

A: Please use the DOES THIS FIT MY VEHICLE? Select your vehicle to see if this product is compatible. The spider tensioner with product code 030-1229-0 is designed for small passenger vehicle applications. The 030-1230-4 is slightly larger for light truck and SUV use.
