Only one we've bought for years ...dont buy anything else

For many, many years (under Scott Paper ownership), Purex regular toilet paper had a tiny "pillow" pattern embossed on its soft, absorbent, and classic toilet paper. Part of the marketing included cartoon pillow characters. The product was of great quality, at a great price, made in New Westminster, BC, and a staple in both my family's home while I was growing up, as well as my own as an adult. Somewhere along the line, after Kruger acquired ownership of Purex, the product changed dramatically ... and not for the better! Gone were the embossed pillows and plush texture, replaced by a new pattern embossed onto less-soft paper, with two plies that separate when unrolled and placed in the hand. It's gone up in price, feels and looks noticeably CHEAP in quality, and I've switched brands to another Canadian brand whose quality has been consistently great, evermore, and whose sale price is usually lower in price than when Purex is on sale. The only time I'll now buy Purex is if it's the only brand on *sale at whatever store has the best local offer on toilet paper, and I'm always disappointed (again and again) in the lacklustre quality of the Kruger version of Purex. Bring back the pillows, even if they were Scotties'.

This is the toilet paper I've purchased for years. Went to buy a new bag and it's so rough. Feels like sandpaper, I still have some of the other bag and it's soft. Either they are changing the toilet paper to sand paper or they have quality control issues.

The Purex Regular 2 Ply is a complete RIP OFF, You are trying to make the ply so thin. and unreliable. I am wondering how thinner you are going to try to make it? This is nothing else than a dishonest product. Not only do the prices increase but the product decrease in qualities. I am asking you: are you proud of your product?

There's a very significant amount of toilet paper dust being shed each time I unroll some of this product. It releases a horrible mess into the air and all over everything! The dust gets into my eyes, and has been making me sneeze and cough because you can't avoid breathing it in. I will not be buying this product again!
