Fairly Decent. You get what you paid for. I bought it for my mom who lives in a nursing home. Mainly for playing cds. But considering there is no antenna the radio works pretty good.

The unit uses the power cord as the FM radio antenna - the AM radio antenna is a ferrite bar located inside the unit. Change the orientation of the radio if you find the radio reception is impaired.

A: You tune the radio by rotating a wheel on the back of the unit. The approximate AM and FM frequency scale is printed on the wheel, so you can see (roughly) what channel you're tuned to as you rotate the wheel. But, you need to be able to see the back of the unit, as you are tuning, to use the scale.

Q: Does boombox use batteries as well as having the ac dc plug? I want to be able to just pick it up and go, Iwork at a daycare. Our kids like to dance, but it's not always easy to find proper places to plug things in, or to keep things that are plugged in out of their reach. With batteries, I could put this high enough on a shelf so they can't reach it.
