I lost my key

Great roof top carrier, but I have lost my key. I thought I could replace the lock but it is built in to a plastic casing that is riveted onto the side. I visited canadian tire and they don’t sell replacement locks… I am not sure how to solve this problem.

Bought this a couple months ago & my only complaint is kinda user error but also manufacturer. I stood the box up in order to open it properly & on the inside of the box they twist wire the feet & accessories in a bag. This bag wasn't secured & when tipped on end it came loose & hit the hinge. It all still works but did break a small piece off compromising it's strength. Besides that it's exactly what I paid for.

A decent alternative to an experience carrier

My wife and I originally bought this to store a large suitcase , and when tried in the store it fit perfectly. However when setup the clamps that secure the carrier to the rack were too bulky and prevented the lid from being closed with the suitcase. Well, we still used it and so far no issues. Very easy to install and remove. One thing to add is that the locks use a bar to be inserted into three posts. If the lid isn't fully flat you will have issues locking it. Otherwise its still pretty good

Q: I can’t seem to open it from new are the keys inside the locks seems locked how do get it open

A: The same thing happened to me. The keys cannot be locked inside. It can only be locked with the key from the outside. Canadian Tire had lost the set of keys after someone locked it (they are often left in the key slot and shoppers can remove it. I had to return my first one because of this. This will cost canadian tire some money until they come up with a system to keep track of the keys
