Coolant for Euro vehicles.

I made a mistake a year ago replacing my Pink (OEM C.T. brand) Euro coolant with the regular Yellow all makes and models from Prestone. Yes you can use the Yellow coolant on VW (but) my water pump started leaking, guess what colour = Yellow. When I opened the the old pump the colour Pink was cemented on the pump where it must have seeped out at some point (old OEM), but was not leaking. That tells me use only fluids that say EURO on it because clearly the European specific fluids have the proper "additives" to keep these turbo engines from leaking. Btw, the colour of the Prestone MAX European is Violet / Purple like the new G13 and the protection I tested when opening a new jug was -29C. OEM C.T. brand back a few years was also -29C. Final advice to anyone listening, don't do the (drain - put water - run - drain) process. Instead do a drain + refill with 50/50 only + run a few days + drain again. Don't allow these small turbo motors to get hot using the traditional coolant changing procedure. I hope this info helps.

Q: Can Prestone European 50/50 coolant be mixed with EOM EURO I coolant (sold at Canadian Tire). I have a Mercedes Benz 2017 c300. Used the Prestone at first and I need a too up

A: If you need a top up you have bigger issues than this question. I personally never mix different coolant

Q: Can Prestone European 50/50 coolant be mixed with EOM EURO II coolant (sold at Canadian Tire) and / or with VW G12++?

A: Yes, the three products are compatible with each other. The Euro II is a Recochem HOAT (benzoate/nitrate/silicate) product the VW G12++ is a HOAT (sebacic/ silicate) product versus our YA-994 HOAT (2-EH-Neo / nitrate/ silicate) product.
