Not worth the money

The plastic comes loose and doesn’t really work. The blade doesn’t suck the grass completely into the mower. It leaves long strands of grass along the way and doesn’t do a full clean cut.

Q: Is this just used for dethatching or is it good for mowing also?

A: You can use it for regular mowing, however taking the nylon pieces out would be kind of a pain unless you remove the blade. Reinstalling the nylons would also be tricky unless you remove the blade. Mine was dull on purchase, so you may want to sharpen it first. Mine doesn't "scoop" the clippings into the bag as well as the original blade does, but works okay.

This premium blade includes multiple adapters and hardware to fit virtually all gas powered mowers available in Canada including Craftsman® (in rare cases an adapter for your specific blade mount configuration may be required, contact the manufacturer at 1-800-668-1238 for this). Check your mower model, if it is a 21" or 22" you may consider Power Rake item number 60-6104

Q: GreenWorks 19" 40V Mower Is this compatible with the GreenWorks 19" 40V Mower? Is that mower strong enough to use this item?

A: It is not compatible. The Greensworks 19" 40V has a measured effective internal clearance of somewhere between 18" to 18 1/2" while this blade has a measured effective diameter of 18 7/8".

A: I just bought this, Took off the original blade and managed to attached this with relative ease. The way I have it set up is 1) 5 point config on top 2) large supplied washer 3) blade with bolt adapter 4) large supplied washer 5) OEM bolt I just did my front and back yard, no vibrations when mowing, no play either. collected 3 bags of grass.

A: Thank you for your question. Unfortunately Certified® brand lawn mowers use a unique blade mount configuration which will not accept the Power Rake blade.

Q: Cannot seem to install on a Yardworks electric mower from Canadian Tire. Is it supposed to be compatible? Additional adapter required?

A: Thank you for your question. This blade is designed for use with gasoline powered lawnmowers only. It is a heavier construction and may not install safely to electric mower blade mount configurations. The nylon blade tines can engage the ground which may damage electric motors.

Q: Doesn't work with the Yardworks... Blade mounting system is raised therefore the power rake can't be properly secured. Anyone has dealt with this issue?

Q: How often do you have to replace the tines?

A: Thank you for your question. The rate at which the robust nylon tines wear depends on which mode this blade is being used for. Scalping lawns to facilitate seeding where the tines contact the soil will accelerate wear, bagging leaves with the mower blade height raised will result in very little wear. For dethatching lawns expect multiple seasons from the easily replaced tines.
