This chain saw is very difficult to start. After 3 of us taking turns pulling the cord until our arms fell off, we finally did get it to start. Then it wouldn’t stay running at idle, so you’d put the thing down for a second and it would die unless you were constantly revving the engine. Then you’d have pull the cord another 50 times to restart it even though the engine is warm. I’ll never buy a Poulan product again. This was an awful experience. I returned it and bought a cheaper Champion saw and it’s been great. Like night and day.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: The manual says to mix the 3.2 ounce with a gallon of gas. Is that a can or us gallon?

A: when they say gallon, they mean a gallon (4liter~) i dont remember, read the gas cap. if it says 1:45 its one part oil to 45 gas. just do it in liter its simpler. NEVER PUT MORE OIL THEN THEY SAY! 2stroke engine can develop little piece of carbon that fall into the engine and ruin your piston. too much oil can kill the saw.
