Q: Can I use the pump with the light disconnected? I am actually asking about pump PF185ASLCA, "Low Water Auto Shut-Off Fountain Pump Plus Light". I am concerned about getting electrocuted when I immerse the pump into water with the light socket open.

A: We do not recommend using this pump without the light because as you said an open electrical connection will be exposed to water. We suggest using the 140-GPH Fountain Pump for a similar pump without the light. We hope this helps!
