Toilet mounting Bolt Set 5/16" x 2-1/4" BRASS

After having spent and hour plus reviewing searches on the Canadian Tire web site for BRASS toilet mounting sets and identifying a couple of possibilities, I went to my local Canadian tire store ( Casselman, ON) and spent another half hour trying to locate those possibilities, I finally found one I had identified.
They looked like BRASS and the package state BRASS FLANGE BOLTS but once I got home and having cut one bolt to my needed length discovered that they were in fact NOT BRASS but BRASS LIKE plated cheap stainless steel. Even the nuts and washers are BRASS LIKE plated cheap stainless steel (all are very slightly attracted to a strong magnet).
Very disappointed. Wanted BRASS, bought something that said it was BRASS but turned out it was not.
Canadian Tire web site and packaging very misleading.
