PlumbShop's mechanical plumbing vents help improve sink venting capacity. This 1-1/2 inch secondary vent is used to supplement the main vent in residential plumbing systems. It allows air to escape the drain pipes, maintaining proper flow and preventing traps from siphoning. Perfect for venting branch lines and relief of drain blockages.

A: Good morning Turdburgaler and thank you for your qiestion. If used as recommended: “not intended for open venting system”, there are no code requirements for the PS6623. There is a requirement in the National Plumbing Code if used in a building venting system: which conforms to ASSE 1051 code. Best Regards
