P-trap modification , material thickness very thin.

Bought this to replace an older trap, it was a bit too long due to changing the sink so I had to cut the pipe. This usually isn't a problem but the thickness of this pipe is much thinner than the older stock and so cutting was very problematic and the pipe ended up deforming slightly thus making a water tight seal impossible. So, for me, this was scrap. If you don't need to do any length mortification, it should be fine.

Plastic would have been better

This chrome p-trap pipe fits perfectly where I needed to replace an older one. It is satisfactory, but I would have much preferred a plastic version, which my local Canadian Tire store doesn’t have in stock. These metal pipes corrode over time, and need to be replaced.
