Horrible to assemble get other hardware

Immediately go to the hardware aisle and get your own bolts and nuts. This is the worst thing I’ve ever assembled in my life. Their hardware is only long enough to be put together if the sun and moon align perfectly. Horrid. Was easy once I got bolts long enough. Then I went in with my multitool and cut them off, took a grinder to the end to dull them off and rubber coated.
Kids love it, it’s sturdy. It makes you want to burn it down when assembling.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Les vis sont terriblement « juste », aligner les 6 poteaux du haut, avec le « beigne », … armez vous de patience. Une fois assemblé, je suis convaincu que ça sera de bonnes qualités, mais encore faut-il y arriver. Comme d’autres l’ont mentionné, 3 personnes et prévoyez plus de 2-3 heures. Procurez vous des t-wrap supplémentaires, plusieurs ont cassé. Pour adepte de défi!

Sturdy, but difficult to assemble

Just got it together today, and it seems super sturdy!!
The build, however… it showed me how strong my husband and I’s marriage is, as it was suuuuper frustrating at points. You think IKEA is bad? That’s child’s play. It’s like the screws are slightly too short? So getting the pieces all together is super difficult at times. Make sure you leave everything loose until the VERY end. Took us about 6 hours with a “helpful” 4 year old. Looking forward to watching her play on it this summer!!

A: Depends on how often you need to stop and how many people are assembling it together. Due to weather and other various reasons it took 3 attempts to build. Estimate time is about 6 hours

A: Yes we had a set of stakes to hold it down, my kids love it and we have had no problem at all with it. Its strong and durable. However it was pretty difficult to build. This will be our 2nd summer using it and it still looks as good as new.

Q: Hi, does this need to be stored indoors during the winter to prevent rust? Do you leave it outdoors all year round? Thank you

A: You leave this outside for winter, assemble one and let kids enjoy. You can move it with second person. It's light enough, that I can slow raise it and flip it over in a controlled manner when mowing the lawn after on 2nd or 3rd cutting. After winter it's best to screws the Allen heads down they become loose.

Q: It says max user wt. Is 110 lb. But how much wt altogether can be on it. Others that I am looking at online say 4 users total of 400lb.

A: YouTube has a few videos for better instructions. This thing takes a while to build and definitely not a one person job, and the instructions are not that great.you are better off to YouTube the assembly for better understanding.

Q: Can I keep it outside all year? Or does it need to be disassembled every winter and stored? Or would it be a good idea to cover it with a tarp to protect it?

A: The ideal situation for the Plum Dome would be to disassemble it and store over the winter however we know this is not viable for many people. If this is not possible, our suggestion would be to leave it in place and cover it with tarp. If it is left uncovered the Dome will not come to any harm but may start to look weathered.
