We love this bird feeder. The small red squirrels can get in, but not the large grey ones. This is our second one.

2022 Preserve Bird Feeder, 3-lb

Upon closer inspection , the wire that the feeder hangs from is shoddy and will rust and/or wear out. A thicker rustproof wire or a solid core "wire" may give the feeder a life beyond 1-2 years.
The feeder is good to prevent larger birds (e.g. pigeons) from eating all the feed.

Too much wasted seed !

I bought this to feed the small birds and hopefully not go through so much seed. Not working, it does keep the big blackbirds off but the smaller birds are pulling all the feed out onto the bottom tray and most of it goes out on the deck. Won't be keeping this one
