Design flaw

We really liked this blender (pass tense). The spigot on the motor side is made of hard plastic with a metal insert on the jug. When the jug is not fully inserted into the plastic it strips the gear connection to the point that it no longer blends. i can understand the requirement for the weak spot design feature, however the unit is design to not permit it to be easily replaced the part. If you purchase be aware of this and don't let your teenagers use it. :)

Beautiful digital blender, nice look. Doesn't have a big footprint which is nice. I did return it because I started by adding a little water with soap to clean it but even with the lid securely on, water splashed out. I tried again with less water but it was the same. No way I could keep it. It was the 1.5 L jar so maybe the 2 L blender would have done better.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I love this blender so much but it says it's scratch resistant but mine has scratches all in it. Very frustrated as only have had it about a month.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: I'm just curious why this model is more expensive than it's counterpart (43-5260) when the only notable differences bare that this one has 1100 W and a 1.5L jar and 5260 has 1500W and a 2L jar.
