I apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with the PADERNO Glass Loaf Pan with Lid, 1.5L. It appears that the product might not have been used as intended. The pan is designed to be used within certain dimensions, as specified: 90mm by 68mm by 12mm, with a capacity of 1.5L. For best results, please ensure your recipes are suited to these dimensions. If you have further questions, feel free to contact us at 1-800-263-9768. Thank you for your feedback, which helps us improve continually.

Its a great loaf pan. The lid is not overly practical, as bread typically rises above the top.

Q: If the thermal shock resistance is 160C how can I put the glass form from my refrigerator (10C) to the oven at 230C, let alone the freezer. This already is a thermal shock range of 240C? From freezer to 230C exceeds this.

    1 Answer
    • A: I have not had an issues with glass ovenware, but I know others who have had catastrophic (explosive and messy) failure. Most glassware has a maximum recommended rating of 350 f. All failures were above that. This is a pan designed mostly for loaf bread baking, which is rarely above 350 f. 230 c is equivalent to 446 f. Most home ovens don't go that high, unless in self cleaning mode. That's a pretty high temperature for standard household use and most loaf baking. I'd recommend a metal or enamelware pan for what you are doing. Happy baking!
