Poor build quality - electronics died

Two of these machines died on us within the year. At least it was covered by the 2 year warranty, but after the second time we bought a different machine as clearly this one is not made to last.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Carafe drips

The coffee maker is overall great, however, the carafe drips every time you pour. It’s really annoying to have to clean up a mess every time you pour a cup of coffee. I plan on purchasing a different brand carafe.

Doesn't get the coffee hot enough

Found the coffee to be just a bit hotter than warm and certainly not close to the temp when you get coffee from a Starbucks or Tim's. Tried both ways of pouring a cup while it was running and then also after leaving the carafe on the hot plate for 15 mins.
Not sure if it was just this machine but we ended up returning it as it just wasn't getting to the temperature we wanted.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Just bought this on sale and contrary to others I haven’t had problems leaking. Plus, it came with a notice from paderno that they’d extended the keep warm setting to last two hours. Can confirm it stayed on that long!

Q: Does any steam escape from the top of this unit? I want to place it underneath a cabinet and want to ensure it is safe to do so.

A: Some steam escapes through the vent holes above the coffee grounds. The unit is tall but fits under my upper cupboards when it's not in use. There isn't enough room to open the lids to add water and coffee so I pull it out from under the cupboard. Since it's out, I leave it out while the coffee brews.

Q: Can we program the coffee maker so that we can get up and the coffee is already ready?

A: The maker has a time function feature that, when automatically set, starts to brew at the selected time. It will hold the coffee warm for 30 min, which is a little bit of a set back and would have been nice if this holding time was a little longer.

A: Hello, thank you for your question. All components that touch the water are BPA free. For all coffee makers it is recommended to run it once or twice with water only before first use. Hope this helps.
