Workable fly reel, ready to fish.

If you want an easy setup for a 4 or 5 wt fly rod, here it is. Fine for trout and game fish up to about 4-5 lbs, perfect for ponds and rivers. Might explode if you hooked anything that could give it a run like steelhead. If you know what you're doing you could put a better rig together for the same price as this is the lowest quality line, backing, and reel combo available; the only advantage is that it's already strung up.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: How much backing and fly line can be put on the reel?

A: Superfly combo comes pre-spooled and if you would like to replace it, we would suggest that you should mark the reel where the backing line ends and use that to gauge how much to use.
