A colander is a kitchen essential for rinsing berries, draining pasta, and washing and draining fruits and vegetables. Q: What is the distance from below the bowl to the flat end? IOW, when it is on a table is there a finger's space before it touches the tabletop? Hope it does not sit too low otherwise the water will not go in drain fast enough and food will be contaminated.
