Ok fan

Bought this fan today the fan blows the air around pretty good but after not even 2 hours of having the light on it went out. I had thought the bulb burnt out already so tried changing the bulb and the same thing I had no light.

Light turns on and off, super dim

We often use the remote to turn off the light to leave the fan running. The light turns on and off as it pleases. Super weird.
It is also so fun, just terrible for a small bedroom.

Stopped working after 1 year.

I bought and had an electrician install the fan and after one year it stopped working. I called customer service and I was told it could not be returned without a receipt.

Ce ventilateur à du cachet son look chez- moi est incroyable. Mais...une 60w ce n'est pas suffisant, l'éclairage est mauvais donc je ne l'utilise pas. Il devrait y avoir une vitesse plus basse pour faire descendre la chaleur en hiver car la vitesse est tellement forte même à son plus bas que ça me donne des frissons, il faut pas être en dessous, les cheveux nous dressent.

A: I had the exact same problem. Called the support line for Likewise and Home Collection at 1-866-788-7389 and within a few minutes they processed an order to send me a new remote and receiver. A++ customer service! Just a note... when you phone, the automated attendant asks you to enter your CT item number. Some people on here have suggested you key in 524345 and omit the leading 0.

Q: I purchased the Scandanavian 42" ceiling fan item #52-4345-2. I am having trouble finding a replacement bulb for it. Where can I purchase a bulb and what is the product number for it?

A: There are several models of this ceiling fan - the latest ones use a common "candelabra" style (B10) base bulb, easy to find at CT or elsewhere. However, the unit I have has a "JD E11" base bulb, I have NEVER been able to find one at CT or HD or other places. You can order online from various places though (try metrosupply.ca). A shame - I wouldn't have installed the fan if I knew it would be so hard to get bulbs!

Q: Remote worked both fan and lights for less than a minute, now nothing works, any ideas? We have tried the reset function and have changed out the receiver and it also worked for 30 seconds and then stopped.

Q: My fan made a popping sound the first time I turned it on. It did this a few times but worked fine after. Has anyone else had this issue? The connections are all fine. Nothing is shorted. It operates normally.

A: I hear that same 'popping' sound but only when I shut off the wall switch. Fan seems to be fine, but recently had to replace the remote and receiver. Don't think it's related but I guess I'll find out if they fail again. I found that calling the customer support was helpful, so hopefully they were able to help you as well.

Q: How can I install the globe? I just purchased this fan and cannot get the globe on. We have tried turning it clockwise and counter clockwise and it just won't stay on. Help!!

A: I had the same problem with 2 fans I bought 2 weeks ago at Canadian Tire. I went back to Canadian Tire store yesterday and check my glass shade (globe) on new fan ta the store and it worked. It means, the switch housing cannot keep this glober on because those 3 "dots" inside was made with defect, smaller it should be and if you don't adapt with foan, etc you have to return to strore and take new fan with properly switch housing as I'm going to do this week. Regards

Q: Remote wont work for Fan ? We just installed this fan Brand New. It comes on full force when you turn it on at the wall and the controls on the remote will not do anything, but they work just fine for the light.

A: I don't have one of these so I am making a small guess, but since I read that it is a RF remote and not an IR remote... Every RF remote I ever owned had a switch inside to allow you to select an alternate RF signal frequency so that it doesn't interfere with "like" remotes. The switch is often in the Battery compartment.
