    Could be better

It's not bad for something so narrow and thin, but I'm generally dissatisfied with this purchase even though I bought it in sale at 50% off. If you're on a forgiving surface you're relatively ok but if the soil is hard clay or there are hidden walnuts or acorns or twigs and roots or whatever, then you'll have to maneuver carefully. There's no real 'sweet spot' - it varies unless you're stationary and even then the material compress enough to become like hardpack sand with nasty obstacles. I might get this again. NEVER at the current retail, which is $40. Maybe for if it were a Dollarama item, their similar item is currently $5 as of June 2023. It is currently on clearance for $19.93, which is how I bought it. That's still way too expensive, and I wouldn't waste my cash on that again. The Dollarama offerings suck as well, but they are of a softer foam and slightly thinner, work approximately as well and for the same amount as one of these you can buy 4 dollar store ones which will increase your thickness by about 1/3 but will increase your ability to stretch (and therefore your ability to stay warm cuz you're insulated from the ground) by nearly double - 2x2 instead of 1x1 basically, for the same cost and same longevity. This CT stuff shreds easy, it's not gonna last.

    Great insulative foam

Actually bought this so I could cut it up into little foam seat pads for hunting and camping, and to make an insulator between my water bladder and my sweaty back for my trail pack - to keep the water cold. Both ventures worked like a charm.

    Hard to find foam pad.

I actually needed this for an insulated base for some VRLA batteries. This was about the only place I could find this foam pad.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Alternate use to protect against gravel damage.

I purchased the mat to shield a plastic cowling on a small travel trailer that contains the battery and propane tank. Travel on gravel roads kicks up many small rocks that did damage the cowling. This foam mat is perfect to add a layer of protection. Not as intended by the designers, but effective nevertheless.

No, I do not recommend this product.

My hubby needed something like a pool noodle to do exercises on his knee since he had knee replacement surgery but couldn’t find anything like what he used in physio so this rolled up camp mat was perfect! He uses it 2 or 3x a day!

    Yes, I recommend this product.
