Could have worked.

I rented this tool as part of the loan a tool program. Unfortunately it was damaged by whom ever used it last. If it was not damaged it would have worked perfectly. I returned it and ordered one online and received it the next day and now own this tool. Maybe I’ll use it again one day.

Very poor quality

Don’t waste your money. Threads on installer rods are not as advertised. I drove 2 hours to pick up this kit, and it turned out NOT to have a M12x1.5 thread on the tool. Even though it’s advertised on the packaging.

OEMTools 77306. The Canadian Tire/ OEMTools website blurb says this is universal fit and will work on Dodge/Chrysler - well not on mine! My Grand Caravan has an M10x1.5 thread in the crankshaft so being universal fit I assumed that this kit would have an M10 rod in it but it doesn't, only M12 and up. I don't understand why they can't just list the rod sizes in the website description which would be the single most useful bit of product info. So in case you want to know take a look at the photo. I can't review the tool itself, but it looks like it would work well if only it fit.

Ford shaft didn’t fit my Ford

Bought this to install a harmonic balancer on a Ford 5.0L Mustang. This did not fit the motor at all. Ended up having to make one out of a threaded shaft I got at Brafasco.

A: Thanks for your inquiry, Michael. Our engineers don't believe you will need the long reach for this application and that a standard size harmonic balancer may be a better fit. Given your car is a classic, we would highly recommend reaching out to your local Canadian Tire Auto Department for the best tool they carry to fit your needs. Best of luck!
