Not the best

Bought these for the cottage steps, 10 lights on 5 steps, but they turned out to be too fragile. The lens/battery compartment kept dropping down; tried to tape them together, but limited success (tape heated up and came away). A couple stopped working all together. Changed to another Noma light from CTC and much happier with the results.

I would definitely recommend these solar lights. I’ve purchased a few different types in past years and none gave me what I was looking for. These definitely light up my stairs on my deck. Definitely buying more. Yes a bit pricy but worth it.

These are for putting on a fence post, not a deck

The lights work fine, but actually they are for putting on top of a post. I thought it was my mistake, but these are clearly mis-labeled. It's hard to tell just looking at the package.
I have a few deck-stair lights, they have more of an angle, probably 45 degrees. Anyway, I put them up on a few strategically chosen fence posts and will probably buy some actual deck stair lights soon.

Q: how long do they stay on after dark?

A: Given full exposure to the sun, when they're new they will stay on all night in the summer time. Over the years I've bought around 2 dozen of these cheap lights, and I've found about 1 in 10 is a dud or only lasts a couple of months, so you get what you pay for.

Q: Can these be affixed using double sided tape on wooden steps instead of screws?

Q: I took off the protective plastic sheet over the Solar part.. Not a single Light Works ? And there is no on and off switch ?

A: No on and off swtich. If remove the plastic sheet the light will be work. Can you try to put it under the sun and check it’s work?

Q: Just bought these lights and I’ve had these lights out for 3 sunny days and the lights don’t work at all. Any ideas?

A: There's a paper to pull out of the battery connection: hard to get the clear plastic off but it will come: Push down and out on the flat side with your thumbs - slide it off. Once it starts it's easy, but it takes some pushing both down and out to get it started. Then just take out the paper and click the plastic cover back into position.
