This simple design and look fits well into my modern decor. It was easy to install if you have basic electrical knowledge of house wiring. The remote control works well and gives you three types of light settings for cool, warm and bright light each time you press the button. The LED illuminates the entire room adequately. The light will not dim as there are only three types of light settings as mentioned above and will not work if your wall switch is a dimmer type switch. There are 6 fan speeds (3 would have been enough for me) and the fan runs quietly. Overall it’s a great value (I got it on sale for $100 off) and is available in black or white colours to fit most decor.

Not impressed

Had to hire a company to have this fan switched out in my entryway way bi-level home, which is a very high ceiling. Ran well for 3 weeks then today the light stopped working!! Now to have this whole fan changed out due to faulty light after 3 weeks, really not impressed.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Aesthetically nice, but with some quality control issues.

This fan looks nice and works fairly well, with 2 notable exceptions:
1) The LED colour temperature changes (warm light, daylight, bright blue-shifted light) when you turn off the light and turn it back on in relatively quick succession. A baffling feature that I could probably do without. Also a feature that you wouldn't know existed if you simply read the page on Canadian Tire's website. The only mention of it all all is a brief excerpt on page 18 of the manual.
2) There was a quality control issue with ours. The wiring harness/remote controller inside the fan had one of their female connectors soldered shut (so that it couldn't accept it's male counter-part and make a solid connection).

Q: What is the default setting when the power goes out and comes back on? Does the light come on? Last setting? If using a single wall switch, will it control the light?

A: Cycling the switch, cycles the color temperatures and light on/off. Light comes on only when wall switch cycled, fan goes off if on. Using a single wall switch controls the light. Use remote for best experience and control.

A: This is a hugger ceiling fan and does not come with any ceiling rods and can run perfectly without rod.

A: The fan is controled by the remote and you can turn off the light only by the remote. If you do not need the lights, you can uninstall the LED when you install the fan.

A: It is possible in theory. You can find another remote in the same brand, and then make pairing with the ceiling fan as the directions in manual. So that you can use two remotes to control this fan. However, we do not quite suggest to do it.

Q: Remote control functions on page 18 are unclear as to how to keep the light on one setting. Every time we turn on the light it is a different colour.

A: The remote control has the memory function: when you set down the light you need, press the light button to turn off the light, and then press the light button again to open it after more than 10 seconds, the light will remain the states you turn off last time. Remember, turn off and turn on again in very short interval time, the light will go changing color. Only with long enough interval time, the memory function will start.

A: You can pull out the plug on LED plate during installation so that the light will not have electricity to run and the fan will be operated with light off completely. Remember, pull out the plug in SAFE conditions!

A: We suggest not to connect the fan with the wall switch. Using the remote to control the ceiling fan is the best way.
