I bought this fan. Installed it which required much more effort than four other fans I've installed over the years. when done, no power. I had an electrician check everything and everything checked out so he said it must be a bad module which is not too uncommon.
I returned it no issue and installed another taking far too long once again. I talked to an electrician on the phone to ensure I was doing things right. When I turned it on fan worked but not the light. Long story short in the process of removing the lighting component the black wire leading to a factory installed connector just came loose.
I tested the wiring to the fixture and it had power so I knew this was the issue. I removed the connector and re-connected all the wires properly. The light worked!
From start to finish all of this took the better part of three days of my time. I should have this fan for free. The design makes installation much more difficult than most fans. The quality control is not good from what I've seen and customer support from Noma is nonexistent. I sort of wish I just brought the fan back and hopefully got my money refunded to buy something else.
No, I do not recommend this product.

As it always seems with ceiling fans, it was awkward to install - particularly the upper canopy covering the wires.
More importantly, however, it has really good air movement and is quiet at all 3 speeds.

My wife and I had been looking for a value packed ceiling fan that was large enough for our bedroom, quiet, pleasing to the eye and had enough lite to meet our needs. This unit came with all of that and a remote. We installed it a little while ago and use it daily. The remote works well and the fan is very quiet for the size of blades, even on high speed. Great value for the dollar. We are very pleased.

A: The wall switch must be on the on position for the remote to work. You may then use the remote functions.

Q: How do I reverse the fan direction (currently clockwise rotation) to counter-clockwise? The remote only has on/off and three fan speed buttons.

A: The reverse switch is located on top of the motor housing. Slide the switch to the left for warm weather operation. Slide the switch to the right for cool weather operation.

Q: Can the shade be replaced? If so, how and where? Cannot find any numbers to re-order shade. Needing to find the replacement shade for this item . Just found out Noma is no longer in business so ... have no idea where to look for the shade.

A: This product does not include bulbs. Bulb spec: E12*3*40 W for normal incandescent bulbs.
