The NOMA Ciara Ceiling Fan is an ideal way to add style and function to your home in one easy-to-install lighting option. Nice fans, be prepared for additional work if split switching.

These fans have decent air flow, look great and seem to operate well. I was able to have them mounted in both hung and direct mounted. If you plan on wiring the switch and fan separately, be prepared to take apart the fan a little bit to splice/run an additional wire up through the main centre. I found that I also had to run an additional resistor at the switch to prevent the light from turning on unintentionally. This was primarily due to the fact of wanting to run the fan and light separately on different switch controls. Aside from that, they seem to be doing the trick.

I didn't even get it installed and I'm going to take it back. only has 2 wire electrical connection so you can't run the light with a switch and the fan with the pull chain like every other ceiling fan in the world. This fan is useless.

I had to use the balancing weights to wedge between the mount and the ceiling in order to reduce the wobble. But the biggest issue with this is the instructions. If I hadn't installed a ceiling fan from a different company the day before I would not have gotten this one up. Then to booth the instructions are incomplete. There's no instructions or indicators for attaching the blades to the body. Then trying to squeeze the wiring underneath the LED light took multiple tries (which again there's no instructions on how to properly accomplish this). Whoever wrote and approved the instruction manual to this needs to be fired. I could see it being a safety risk

What a complete piece of garbage. Cannot flush mount. Instructions are some of the worst I’ve ever read and they don’t seem to even be applicable in parts to this fan. Hardware stripped extremely easily.

Q: I am really confused and maybe I'm missing something. How can the assembled height be 3.97 feet? How is that calculated? All I need to know is how many inches is the unit from the ceiling to the blades to be sure someone tall wont hit their head.

A: I just measured mine. Assembled without the extra hanger drop down bar that comes with it as an option. Mine measures 12” from ceiling to lowest part of fixture (the light)

Q: I don't quite understand the type of light needed. I use WI-FI LED bulbs in all my lights. Is this possible with this light?

A: The fan comes with its own LED lighting panel built in that does not require bulbs. Just wire it in and it’s good to go. Unfortunately you would not be able to use a Wi-Fi bulb because of this.

Q: This fan hardly moves any air. I have it going in the correct direction. Is it possible the fan blades were installed incorrectly by the electrician or is there something else that could be wrong?

A: At 48" this fan should be moving air without a problem. Please refer to the instruction manual and ensure the blades have been installed correctly. In summer months, the blades should rotate in a counter-clockwise direction.

Q: I also have the blue wire missing but the instructions indicate it is there! After a long trip to get this fan, I now face a long trip to return it. Why is the blue wire missing when all fans should have this! The info and instructions lie! Useless!

A: This fan is used with LED integrated light, as per the fan instruction, it can be controlled by the light kit on/off through the pull chain switch, it can't be control by wall switch.

Q: I recently purchased this fan to replace my old fan I noticed this fan only has two wires compared to my old fan that has three.How do you hook this new fan up so that you can run the fan as well as the light on separate light switches..

A: NOMA Ciara Ceiling Fan, 48-in (0529299) only has two wires for connection, it's due to the fan light kit structure, the fan speed and light kit on/off can only be controlled from the fan pull chain switch, it can't be separated by wall switch.
