Great fan but...

The fan was the perfect addition to our kitchen Reno. It looks great and is the perfect colour match. The only issue is that it seems to be possessed with a fathom light. For no reason, the light occasionally comes on on its own. We had the fan replaced thinking it was a one off defect but the new one, identical to the first one, does the same thing; out of the blue, the light just comes on on its own. It's not a major issue but a bit of an annoying one.

Nice looking light. Same issue as another reviewer. We used the fan function in the summer when we were sleeping. We would wake up to light randomly turning on in the middle of the night. It would happen about once every 10 or so days.

Très bon produit, bien fini. Seul petit point négatif : l'éclairage vers le bas uniquement laisse une forte zone d'ombre au niveau du plafond, et crée une ambiance sombre malgré les performances de l'éclairage. A combiner avec une lampe indépendante sur pied.

Q: the fan I want to replace has a switch for the light and a separate speed control. How will I wire this remote control fan?

A: Hi Rejean, This is DC motor fan which can not connect with a variable speed wall control or wall-mounted dimmer switch as it will permanently damage the fans remote control and could cause the fans function to fail. Please kindly note, thanks.

Q: OEM had separate wall switches for fan and light, and I changed the light switch to a smart switch. I can only now use 1 switch to the remote, I seem to have some issues. Light flickers if I use the remote dimmer, fan won't run without light. Ideas?

A: Hi Trenton, The fan ONLY can be installed to wall control with ON/OFF function, which CANNOT be installed to those wall control with dimmable or adjust speed function. Please kindly note.

Q: Could the down rod be replaced with a 3 ft down rod for a cathedral ceing?

A: Yes, the down rod can be replaced with a 3 ft(36inch) down rod for a cathedral ceiling with the 42inch extension power cord attached in the packaging. However, just a friendly reminder that the 3ft down rod diameter needs to be as same as the original down rod diameter 26.5mm(around 1inch). Details pls refer to instruction manual page 17th.

Q: How can 3 of these fans operate independantly on my backyard deck?

A: If 3pcs fans are installed in backyard at one time, one remote control can operate all these 3 fans. However, if you want one remote control to operate one fan independently/separately, then you need to pair the remote control and the relevant receiver following up the page 19 of instruction manual which is enclosed in the product or you can download in the website.
