A: I wouldn't use it for most snow blowers. The 12guage extension cords are more suited to handle the higher current. This cord is only 16guage. I'm not an electrician and you should always check the rating of the cord vs how much current your appliance uses.

Q: What Gauge Wire Is This? What gauge wire is this? Is it 14 ga or 16? (16 is standard for indoors, 14 is heavy duty for outdoors). Thanks.

A: It is 16 Ga and rated at 1625W which is plenty for a single block heater. Not sure why it has 3 receptacles. I think 14 Ga is medium duty, and 12 Ga is heavy.

A: Yes, If the cord electrical ratings (13Amps, 125Vac, 1625Watts) are not exceeded (since there are multiple outlets), and the power tools do not have specific cautions and warnings stating not to use with an extension cord, then this cord can be used.

Q: The light on this cord keeps shutting off. Does that mean something has tripped and there is no power running to the plugs anymore?

A: There are three reasons a light will turn off. 1. There is intermittent or no power to the cord, 2. There is a dead short in the load from line to neutral conductors, 3. There is a failing component, either the resistor or Neon bulb. If there is power to what they have it plugged into, then likely its just the bulb.
