So far they (I bought 2) work as intended although one was missing the stake which I still have to try to get from Canadian Tire. I’ve had these before that I’d bought elsewhere, but one died after one season. Hopefully these will last. I do like how you can set them for ‘how many hours’ you want them on after the photocell detects dusk. Simple, no messing around with setting time.

I have been using this timer since it first came out and I definitely would recommend to Everyone it is a great timer and works well. Easy to set up! Only reason I bought this new one is the sensor on the original one finally failed after about 8 years!

Q: Had this for 3 years, always had trouble setting it. I rotate the dial to ON and the lights come on. When I continue to 8 hour setting the lights go off again. How do I have them stay on for 8 hours?

A: This timer is photosensitive and will come on when it is dark enough. It will then stay on for the amount of time you set and will continue to do so daily until you change it.

Q: Would it work with the inflatables decoration? By the picture, I can't tell if it would fit the big plight of the inflatable.

A: short Answer is that this will fit multiple 3 prong plugs - there is a green cover over the plugs which flips up to provide access and then flips down to protect them from direct water intrussion. I have used this plug for nearly ten years - own 4 of them - all work well.

Q: NOma timer #052-7218-8 When I set the timer for any length of time or from dusk to dawn, the lights started flicking on and off in about 3 second intervals. Works fine if it's just "on". Why?

A: Had the same happen, make sure you turn it away from the lights, I found it was caused by the light receptor getting illuminated and so turning the lights off, and then it detecting dark, so turning the lights back on...

Q: This worked perfectly on the 6 and 8 hour timer. Now it doesn't turn off after the time set, it just stays on unless switched to off. I've tried unplugging and resetting but

A: I think what You have done woulkd work. Turning the knob to the off position then unplugging it, plugging back in and setting to timer. So far have never had a problem with the time but this year I just use it for the extra plugs and leave it on all the time and have the multi post plug plugged into a smart plug in a "Christmas" group and just turn on all my lights (a lot say the neighbours) with 1 command.
